Today’s little slice
of “happitude” is...
My lovely new patio set.
I’m not big on New Year’s
resolutions... Too many expectations lead to too many disappointments. But I do
like to set goals and put things on a wish list of sorts at the beginning of
each year.
This year one of the
things on my wish list is to make my house feel more homely by making more of
an effort with regard to my garden (which is really just a fenced-off patch of
grass and a small patio).
I like the idea of
waking up on a sunny Saturday morning, making a cup of tea and having breakfast
on my patio but in order to do that I’d need a patio set. I had had my eye on a
cute little two-seater one but it was pretty overpriced considering I’d barely
be able to fit a mug of tea and a magazine on the table much less have a proper
breakfast on it.
So I sort off put the
idea out of my mind for a while until my fabulous friend (and boss lady)
mentioned that she had a patio set that she was storing at her mom’s place. Her
mom couldn’t store it any longer and there wasn’t space for it on her own patio
so, the treasure that she is, she sold it to me for an absolute steal and
brought it over for me.
I am so chuffed to be
able to cross something off my wish list; here’s to the many Saturday morning
breakfasts and Thursday evening drinks on my patio to come!
